Who the Hell is Ze Frank?

Y’know, part of being a blogger means I’m supposed to link to things I find cool. I’m remiss for never, ever blogging to my latest obsession - Ze Frank. It dawns on me (thanks to Donna - hi Donna!) that not everyone in my little bubble world knows who the hell this guy is. Well, I wrote some time ago about how sure I was that video blogging would be a lame exercise in pointlessness, carried out by sel-centered, no-talent idiots with way too much time on their hands (I’m paraphrasing). Ze, for better or worse, proves me wrong.

To see what I mean, here are, in my opinion, the top five best Ze Frank “The Show” episodes. Curious who Ze Frank is and why he matters? Start here. He matters because, when it comes to community building and taking advantage of technology and making the most of it, he gets it.

  1. Hindsight - This is the one that got me hooked.
  2. Anti-intellectualism - I can not get this little ditty out of my head. I’ve never heard a musical insulting retort before this, and now I know I like it!.
  3. Complicated - Occasionally, Ze blows my mind. This is one those instances.
  4. Brain Crack - Inspirational! Get off your ass!
  5. The Beginnning - The episode that started it all. Compare this one to today’s episode - man, his format has matured A LOT in a few months.

So, there you go. Now you know Ze. Your humor may vary.
