Just got back from a week in D.C./Virginia to visit my brother in law Zack. We’re still recovering from the oppressive heat and humidity. When we left Concord, it was about 104° with maybe 30% humidity. In D.C. it was more like 95° with 90% humidity. It wrapped around us like a warm, wet blanket all day. Ugh.

I shot some video and took some pictures, so I’ll be throwing all that together soon and posting about it all then. The short version: We spent two days camping in Virginia about five miles from the West Virginia border and the wife and I got eaten alive by the bugs, but only on our heels. I saw fireflies for the first time and am enamored with them. We went canoing and got kicked out of a lake. Spent a day at the D.A.R. museum for Danielle. Drank a LOT of Yuenglings - the best cheap beer ever. All in all, had a really good time.
