I keep saying that I need to be a bigger part of the blogging community and, with my recent encounter with self-important fools with poor reading comprehension skills, I’d like to know what folks are saying about my posts so that I may respond appropriately. Plus, it’s always bothered me that this is a one-way conversation.
Since WordPress has a reputation for having a reasonably spam-free comments system, I finally decided to make the big switch. Comments are now enabled on all posts as are trackback pings, though I’m still trying to figure out how best to display those. There will be many little changes here and there I work out all the kinks and get it all up and running smoothly, so I ask that you mind the dust. And if the dust really bothers you, well… now you can comment about it!
Dani went in for her surgery the day before last and the short of it is that everything went well. She’s doing great physically and coping emotionally. There’s a slight silver lining to this whole escapade - she really has the mother bug now. Before all this she questioned whether she really wanted kids, whether she’d be a good mother, etc. Now she’s at least convinced that it’s worth giving it a go and we’re both eager to get back on the horse. It’ll be a few months - we need to bring a bit more stability to our household first - but we’re both looking forward to it. And, as I’ve been telling everyone after receiving their condolences, trying is the most fun part of the whole process.
If you have any suggestions for the site, ideas for things you’d like to see or could do without, etc. I’d love to hear them. Feel free to comment with impunity!
