What’s Happening Now
Posted June 13th, 2005
Just a quick rundown of all the things that are going in the world that I should probably comment on but have been too overwhelmed to get into yet. Have fun:
- Dani and I are homeowners. I had big plans to fully discuss the house hunt in detail – and I have lots of stories that still need to be told – but it all happened so fast and consumed so much of our time that, frankly, my head is still spinning. Short version: it’s a FAT plot of land in Concord that I’m sure some developer would LOVE to build eight condos on. It’s about 9600 Sq. Ft. with a 1360 Sq. Ft., 3 bed 2 bath one-story rancher. I HAVE A YARD!!!
- Michael Jackson. He’s a freak. He frightens normal human beings and farm animals. We’ll apparently find out shortly what the verdict is (according to CNN) but, no matter what the jury says, I still stand by my original assessment. In the end, I don’t think “guilty” or “innocent” can cover the right bases. More like “Deviant”, but not in the sexual, whips and chains sort of way as much as in the “so totally not the norm” kinda way.
- Deep Throat. Seeing as my senior thesis was inspired by my 106th consecutive viewing of “All The President’s Men”, you’d think I’d have jumped on this one the second it broke. I like Jon Stewart’s take: “The identity of Deep Throat was released today. After much speculation, it turns out Deep Throats was… SOMEONE YOU’VE NEVER HEARD OF!” For the record, I can TOTALLY see Felt playing Spy vs. Spy, smoking a cigarette in a darkened garage. Fascinating that it was the number two guy in the FBI. I really did expect it to be some staffer or something.
- One Million Projects. I have so much going on and so much I’d like to do that it’s just become a non-stop flow of craziness. So far, I’m maintaining it all with some amount of aplomb, but things will be sporadic on this site for a while whilst I try to boost up some others and do something to pay for that friggin’ mortgage. HOMEOWNERS! Can you friggin’ believe it? Pics to come…
